10 Day Brumby Camp

Always wanted to own/ start your very own wild Australian Brumby?!

This camp provides participants with the opportunity to learn how to take a completely untouched, wild brumby and turn it into a willing, repsectful horse, with which you can enjoy many years of partnership and riding in your chosen discipline. The camp is held at Amamoor in South-east Qld over ten days, ensuring that you get plenty of one-on -one time with your brumby to learn all the necessary groundwork skills and principles to go from first touch to first ride. 

Groundwork and horsemanship skills are taught by instructors with over 30 years of cumulative experience.

You will meet like-minded people, make new friends, learn many new skills and at the end of the course, take home your very own brumby.

Participants must be fit and capable of of working with a young horse. No prior horse-starting experience is necessary.

Cost: $2450 pp. ($500 non-refundable deposit upon booking). Includes ownership of brumby, 10 days of tuition, camping fees, use of facilities and TBP merch. Option to purchase horsemanship kit which includes gear essentials. Fencesitters/partners are welcome: $400 for the entire period or a day rate of $45.
