10 Day Brumby Starting Camp - Nymboida NSW

Have you always wanted to start your very own wild Australian Brumby?! This camp provides participants with the opportunity to learn how to take a completely untouched, wild NSW brumby and turn it into a willing, repsectful horse, with which you can enjoy many years of partnership and riding in your chosen discipline. TBP Brumby camps have been running in Qld for over twelve years, in various formats. Due to popular demand, a NSW camp will be run for the first time in 2024. The camp is held over ten days, ensuring that you get plenty of one-on -one time with your brumby to learn all the necessary groundwork skills and principles to go from first touch to first ride. Groundwork and horsemanship skills are taught by instructors with over 30 years of cumulative experience. 

You will meet like-minded people, make new friends, learn many new skills and at the end of the course, take home your very own brumby. Participants must be fit and capable of working with an unhandled horse. No prior horse-starting experience is necessary, however participants must have previous horse handling and horsemanship experience. Those under 18 years old are considered upon application.

Participants are invited to camp or stay in a cabin within the Nymboida Camping and Canoeing grounds, which are directly adjacent to the property. Please call 0266494155 to make your booking. Lovely facilities, serene campground and river access. 

Cost: $2450 pp. ($450 non-refundable deposit upon booking). Includes ownership of brumby, 10 days of tuition, camping fees, use of facilities and TBP merch. Option to purchase horsemanship kit which includes gear essentials. Fencesitters/partners are welcome: $400 for the entire period or a day rate of $45. Please note that property access requires special directions, so be sure to note which days you are attending in order to receive these.
