Come and join us for a day of brumbies! Led classes, ridden classes and classes just for fun. There will also be a brumby showcase, Q&A and entertainment.

About the event
The Brumby Show and Open Day is an event for you to have fun with your brumby, get them out and about, catch up with friends and show your horse in a supportive environment.
There will be led and ridden classes, an obstacle challenge and Freestyle. The program will be released closer to the date and there are great prizes and ribbons to be won. We are seeking prize sponsors now!

There will be an undercover arena and limited camping available for competitors with all the facilities for you to make a weekend out of it. Great camping ($22pp and $11 per horse p/n), undercover arena, showers, toilets, bbq and fire area, trail rides and more. Please note that camping is to be arranged separately, either through messaging 'Braceland' on Facebook or calling/texting Kiara on 04140492026.

Open Led Class
Show off your brumby in this Led Class. Open to all brumbiesof any age, height and sex. Competitors will walk and trot their brumby in hand.

3yo and under - Led class
A led class for the young brumbies. 3 yo and under. Open to any age handler. You will be walking and trotting your brumby in hand.

'Freshie' Led
A led Class for brumbies that have been out of the wild for 12 months or under. An in hand walk, trot, and stop will be required.

Beginner Ridden Dry Work
This pattern is suitable for beginner brumbies and riders. The pattern will include a walk and trot, stop and backup. Patterns will be available prior to the Show.

Novice Ridden Dry Work
This class is open to intermediate to advanced brumbies and riders. The pattern will include a walk, trot, canter, simple change, stop, backup and small and large circles. Whip crack and flying change are possible amendments to the pattern for those who want to show off!

Junior Dry Work
Open to kids 12 years and under, this event will include a walk and a trot and a stop. Riders are permitted to be on a lead line for this event.

Open Ridden Utility Pattern
This event will see riders and their brumbies complete an obstacle pattern which may include any/all of the following: Bridge Ball Cones Drum with coat on it Drag Jump L shape with poles, back through Gate Tarp Carry a flag Stockwhip

Open Led Utility Pattern
An obstacle course for those horses who are not yet under saddle. This will be a slight variation of the ridden pattern and include poles, bridge, L shape, gate, tarp and other fun and scary things!

Wild to Wonderful Freestyle
Impress the crowd and the judges with a Freestyle pattern. This can be led or ridden or a combination of both. Skill, level of difficulty, creativity and entertainment value will all be part of what the judges are looking for. So, dress up and have some fun in this event! Each rider will have 3 minutes to showcase their horse.
