About the event
Come and immerse yourself in the art of brumby training.
This camp is designed for those who ware wanting to work with brumbies and refine and master their horsemanship skills.
The camp is at an Intermediate level and you may either bring your own brumby, or be assigned one to work with (and even take home!) at the completion of the camp. We will cover horsemanship skills associated with getting an unhandled brumby to the point where it is haltered and completing groundwork safely and smoothly and demonstrate/ participate in advancing skills including a selection of the following (depending on group preference/skill:
- Initial contact with your brumby
- Safety on the ground - flexion and body control
- Long reining fundamentals
- Problem solving mini-clinics
- Obstacles and fun in the arena
- All the gear! preparing for a rider
3 Days and 2 nights, camping included (showers and toilets), dinners catered. Gear packs and merch available for purchase.
